Just a few minutes ago, the House of Representatives just passed legislation that would prevent Planned Parenthood from ALL federal funding, regardless! This is not only an attack on a woman’s right to govern her own body, but it is also an assault on women’s health and preventive care. There will be no funding for birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, and HIV testing. Of these services are provided for women on a sliding scale. I feel as though we ned to take some inspiration from the PEOPLE in Wisconsin and take to Congress and let them hear our collective voices. While my expectations of all the white boys in the house are low, I am deeply saddened that the misogyny has penetrated so thoroughly that even women are voting against women! Please take action and sign this open letter to congress. This decision from the House of Representatives (how ironic–who are they representing?) effects us all. Misogyny and homophobia go hand in hand!

Signed. Shameful.
A dark day in American history.
I can’t believe this has happened so quickly and quietly.
This was a very high priority for Boehner and Issa, which makes sense because they have ovaries. Oh but wait! They don’t!
The continued waste of time and energy to prove petty points is astonishing. I can’t believe these Bitter Brewheads are so openly pushing their deeply biased agenda.
Letter signed.
PS – Mock Turtle ovaries. Eww.
Lex, you and I may need to devote a joint article just on the Mock Turtle.
Sickened and really pissed off
Jenny, as a nation we should all be sickened and pissed off!
The #1 consumer of ‘social programs’ is children – the children of poor, single mothers. We have just guaranteed to drastically increase that number as we’re not allowing women to have control over their own reproduction.
Well said! It is no small wonder why I love you, Jen Lockett!
