Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes. –Walt Whitman
While I’ve always thought of blogging as a strange process, I’ve come to see its value in the sharing of important ideas. This is not the country I thought I’d live in as I reached middle age. I was hopeful that by the time I reached middle age, health care would no longer be tied to employment; that it would just be a part of being human. I was hopeful that marriage equality would be a done deal and that we would be much farther along for civil rights for all. I am quite sad at how far we have to go to eradicate racism, homophobia, misogyny, and all the ways we marginalize and target people.
I encourage people to contribute to this blog and share ideas. All I ask is that everyone be respectful.
