Trevor Project and Hope

6 Oct

I want to thank Jenny Shaw and Jen Lockett for helping me with this post.  In the wake of five suicides, I think many of us are trying to find some hope and to make it better for everyone in the LGBTQ community and all kids that get bullied.  This story shared by LZ Granderson provides some hope.

There is also a great resource called the Trevor Project.  Please look at their website and the video by Chris Colfer.

I’m so glad that you posted this. If there is one story I could share with students that are being bullied, it is this one. The reality that this time will pass. That some day, you can make your own way in the world, choose your friends, companions, and associates…

I hope that this project gets necessary distribution and recognition.

And thank you for helping me and supporting me with this post. The Trevor Project has a 24 hour hotline for those in need.
