Glenn Beck: Scary Neighbor

14 Oct

Since we are talking about Glenn Beck, I am now taking nominations for this Friday’s Bigot of the Week!  I think most of us sane folk were mortified to learn of the house that burnt down in Tennessee, as firefighters watched it burn to the ground because the family did not pay the $75 due for that year.  Glenn Beck’s response:  “we are going to have to have these kinds of things,” as he was defending the unconscionable behavior of the firefighters.  To add salt to the wound, he made fun of their southern accent.  If you would like to read the entire article, here it is.

I am always floored by the fact that Glenn Beck is taken seriously. Every time I watch him, I’m like… “Really? No…. this has got to be a SNL sketch or something…” He’s such a caricature of himself.

Jen, I wholly agree. I don’t know if he believes what he says, or he is just a media whore. Regardless of his beliefs, people are listening to the hate he preaches.

If he actually ‘practiced what he preached,’ then he would have been thrown out with the rest of ‘the trash’ years ago – when he was a homeless, drug addict, on welfare…
You do know that he is also a converted (to) Mormon… ?

Wow! No, I did not know he converted to Mormon. I’m glad you shared that on the blog though. I do hope you will be nominating someone for Bigot of the Week:)

Just of the week? I would think that he would be in the big leagues. When do the yearly nominations come out?

Earning bigot of the week does not preclude winning bigot of the year:) Those nominations will be accepted come December.
