I Hate Old People, Women, and Gays!

15 Aug

I can dream, can’t i?

Yes, you probably thought this was a story about Michelle Bachmann, but actually it is about her evil twin, Paul Ryan. I don’t think it came as a surprise that Ryan was told to steer clear of Florida.  Even rabidly right wing seniors disapprove of Ryan’s plans by a comfortable 20% margin.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain: Kevin Madden, Romney’s campaign manager.  Madden wants us to believe that sending Ryan to the Iowa State fair (Iowa was where Romney signed a pledge to discriminate against the LGBT community) rather than joining Romney in Florida had nothing to do with Ryan wanting to gut Medicare.  Sure, I believe that.  I also believe that it is safe to say the word Bain around Romney and that it is just a simple oversight that George W. was asked not to attend the Republican National Convention.

One might ask, why the heck did Romney pick this fascist as a running mate.  My greatest fear, given how homophobic both men are and how much they hate women, one conclusion one might draw is that they are secret lovers—-okay, ewwwww that even made me spit up.  The big question is, why on earth would any minority in the United States vote for such a duo of hate?

Help me understand how this is possible? What kinds of self-loathing ignorant log cabin Republican does one have to be?

*I think the GOP power brokers know these two wont don’t have a chance in heck of winning but 2016 is what they’re aiming for, and this will give RYAN some experience and Ryan will be up for PRESIDENT, the democrats have no viable candidate for 2016 and everyone knows it, unless HILLARY changes her mind and if that’s the case, the white house will remain in civil hands of people working for the majority of Americans and not just the top 5%.. Why else would ADELSON spend as many millions as he has, I saw a story on the news talking about how the hundreds of millions of dollars that have gone to the GOP and its SUPERPACS comes from just 31 people or something just as crazy, I’m probably missing something but either way, its just a few of the uber rich trying to buy the election and they themselves also getting a practice run this time… They don’t really care about when then get in, its just getting in period and making as many changes as is possible as quick as possible to everything OIL, GAS, BANKING, HEALTHCARE, ENVIROMENTAL CONTROLS, ALL AND ANY REGULATIONS, GUNS, GLBT RIGHTS, WOMANS RIGHTS, THE POORS RIGHTS , ANY SAFETY NETS…… That’s what they’re after….. Then they will all laugh to the offshore accounts they have and watch them swell with tax-free tax dollars and government investments they’ve set up for the next 100 years .. These people need to be stopped , campaign finance controls need come back and come back with a vengeance ……
“Medicaid now covers an estimated 70 million Americans and would cover an estimated 7 million more in 2014 under the Obama health law’s expansion. In contrast, Ryan’s plan could mean 14 million to 27 million Americans would ultimately lose coverage.”

I hope everyone reads your entire comment! Well done and especially the last sentence should terrify people.

I think it is what is being taught to the conservative christians that is the problem. I cannot tell you how many weddings i have been to with a sermon in the middle of ceremony about a wife being submissive.
In addition the culture of fear. Everything is out to get the american family as they know. Or so they truly believe.

I feel like we have turned back the hands of time. I’m reminded of a Murphy Brown episode around the idiot Dan Qualye and Murphy talks about how do we define a family.

It is comforting to think that this is some sort of Machiavellian scheme, but the Republicans really do think this is a winning ticket. Frankly it is not the loser that it should be. The PotUS should have a good 25 to 30 point lead on these clowns but does not. The GOP is counting on there being enough bigots out there upset that “one of them” is in the White House that this pair of monsters gets elected. Their hopes are not entirely in vain which is why we have to mobilize the base.
That said we have to do it in a way that fights the rightward (on fiscal/foreign policy issues) track of the Democratic Party. That’s why I suggest that if the President is on the WFP ticket where you are voting, pull that lever instead, show them that you want them to remember their base the way the GOP remembers its bigoted/theocratic base.

I really hope that bigotry and willful ignorance will not prevail, as I know you hope as well.
