While I’ve always thought of blogging as a strange process, I’ve come to see its value in the sharing of important ideas. This is not the country I thought I’d live in as I reached middle age.  I was hopeful that by the time I reached middle age, we would have universal health care for all people regardless; that it would just be a part of being human.  I was hopeful that we would be much farther along in addressing issues of poverty, homelessness, and racial inequities.  I am quite sad at how far we have to go to eradicate racism, homophobia, misogyny, poverty, and all the ways we marginalize and target people. 

I encourage people to contribute to this blog and share ideas.  All I ask is that everyone be respectful, as we all work towards global equity, equality, and sustainability.
