Farewell to Michael

23 Feb

Thank you for visiting Social Justice For All. Sadly, its author, Michael Hulshof-Schmidt, passed away on January 30, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. I am leaving up this blog — his thoughts, words, celebrations, struggles, and wishes — as a tribute to the way he lived his life and the impact he had on so many people around the world.

You can visit his memorial site for more information about his life and work.

Robert, I am so very sorry for our loss, but especially your loss. I met Michael when we were on the board of TransActive. I knew immediately that he was a very special person. Michael definitely left the world a better place for those who knew him or were the recipients of his goodwill. Sending love. Nancy Campbell Mead

Michael was a compassionate soul driven to help people. It’s amazing to see how much time he spent working toward noble causes and writing so many posts about his love of other human beings. May you have peace in your sorrow.
